Do you have curls and black hair and dream of more length, more volume or simply a day without the fuss? Then a V-Part wig or U-Part wig may be exactly what you are looking for. Your own hair stays visible at the front or on top, and the wig takes care of the rest. No glue, no wig caps and no damage to your own hair. At BaddieBundlesStore we work exclusively with 100% virgin human hair.
In this guide we explain the difference between a V-Part and a U-Part, why a curly V-Part or U-Part in virgin human hair pairs so beautifully with curls and black hair, how to choose the right curl, colour and length, and how to care for your wig. What is a V-Part wig?
A V-Part wig has a small V-shaped opening on top. You pull a small section of your own hair through, right at your parting. The result: a natural-looking parting, because it simply is your own hair. You leave out only a very small amount of your own hair, so the rest stays protected.
- Ideal if you want to show very little of your own hair
- Perfect if you want a very different colour from your own hair: only a minimal amount of your own hair needs to blend in
- Secured with clips and an adjustable band, completely glueless
What is a U-Part wig?
A U-Part wig has a larger U-shaped opening on top. You leave out a wider section of your own hair, giving you more freedom with your parting: middle, side or swept all the way back.
- More freedom in your parting and styling
- Ideal if you want your own colour to blend in beautifully with the wig
- Also glueless, with clips and an adjustable band
Why does a curly V-Part or U-Part suit curls and black hair so well?
With curls and black hair, the curl pattern is everything. A straight wig stands out immediately: the transition between your hair and the wig is visible. With a curly V-Part or U-Part you choose a curl that matches your own, so everything flows together seamlessly.
That is why we created BB Curls: a line of U-Part and V-Part wigs made especially for curls and black hair, with dozens of curl patterns to choose from. From loose waves and spring curls to tight curls and coils. Prefer a sleek look instead? Simply choose Straight under Curl: full to the very ends, up to 30 inch.
Why virgin human hair?
All BB Curls V-Parts and U-Parts are made from 100% virgin human hair. Virgin means the hair has never been chemically treated. As a result:
- the hair stays soft and glossy
- you can wash, blow-dry and style it just like your own hair
- it is double drawn, so it is full from root to tip
How to choose your perfect BB Curls V-Part or U-Part

How to care for your curly V-Part or U-Part wig
With the right care, the curls of your wig stay beautifully defined and soft. Here is how:
Washing
- Wash your wig after roughly 8 to 10 wears, or sooner if there is a lot of product in it.
- First detangle gently with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, working from the ends upwards.
- Use lukewarm to cool water and a sulphate-free shampoo. Sulphates dry out curls and make them frizzy.
- Do not rub or scrub: work the shampoo through with gentle movements from top to bottom.
Conditioning
- Apply conditioner to the lengths and ends, not to the cap or the clips.
- Treat your wig to a hair mask about once a month (leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes) and rinse with cool water.
- A mild co-wash (washing with a cleansing conditioner) works well in between too; rinse the cap thoroughly.
Styling curls: our favourites

ORS Curlshow Alcohol-Free Curl Style Mousse (207 ml), for the curls of your wig: an alcohol-free, hydrating curl mousse, enriched with collagen and avocado oil for strong, supple hair. It gives your curls a soft, touchable hold and adds volume, without leaving them hard or dry. Available at e.g. Albert Heijn and Superdrug.

Eco Style Black Castor & Flaxseed Oil, Conditioning, Styling & Shining Gel, 48 Hour Edge Control (236 ml), for your own hair only: a nourishing styling and shine gel with black castor oil and flaxseed oil, plus vitamin E and omega-3. According to the packaging: deep hydration, restores and repairs, alcohol-free, for all hair types, with 48 hours of hold and shine. Use this edge control only on your own hair at the roots in the U-Part or V-Part opening, for sleek edges and a neat parting, so your own hair blends flawlessly into the wig. Do not use it on the hair of the wig. Available at beauty supply stores and online.
- First dampen the hair of your wig well with a spray bottle.
- Apply the mousse to the hair of the wig, from the lengths to the ends.
- Scrunch the curls gently upwards into shape (do not brush) and let the wig air dry.
- Put your wig in place, then work a small amount of Eco Style 48 Hour Edge Control into your own hair only, at your parting and hairline.
Styling and drying
- Instead of mousse, you can also use a light leave-in conditioner or curl cream in the damp hair of the wig.
- Choose alcohol-free products, as alcohol dries out the hair.
- Ideally, let your wig air dry on a wig stand. If you do use heat, choose a low setting and a heat protectant.
Storing
- Keep your wig on a wig stand so it holds its shape.
- When travelling or not wearing it for a while: store it in a satin or silk bag to prevent frizz and tangles.

Frequently asked questions
Is a V-Part wig suitable for black hair?
Yes. With a curly V-Part in virgin human hair you choose a curl that matches your own hair, so the small section of your own hair at your parting blends seamlessly into the wig.
What is the difference between a U-Part and a V-Part wig?
A V-Part has a small V-shaped opening: you leave out very little of your own hair, ideal for a completely different colour. A U-Part has a larger U-shaped opening: you leave out more of your own hair, ideal when your own colour needs to blend in.
Can I have something custom made?
Yes, custom made pieces on request are always possible. Tell us what you are looking for and we will create it especially for you.
Which products should I use for my curly wig?
For the wig: a sulphate-free shampoo, a good conditioner, a hair mask once a month and, for styling, the ORS Curlshow Curl Style Mousse (Albert Heijn, Superdrug) in damp hair. For your own hair at the parting and hairline: the Eco Style Black Castor & Flaxseed Oil 48 Hour Edge Control for sleek edges. Choose alcohol-free products.
Do I need glue?
No. Both wigs are secured with clips and an adjustable band. No glue, no tape: a truly glueless wig.
